The following components are compulsary for each type of yoga pose mentioned above:
 

1) Form: Correct form is needed for both safety and maximum benefits of poses.
2) Alignment:  Proper alignment  of joints  adds to the benefits of each pose as well as prevents uneccessary injuries. Alignment is heavily dependant upon flexibility.
3) Strength: Strenth allows the individual to perform the pose with proper form and alignment without pain or stress.
4) Stamina: Stamina is dependant upon form, alignment, strength, flexibilty, and breathing control.  It is a culmination of all components of yoga. This allows for individuals to perform poses with varied length and depth of  each pose.
